Nicki posted a video on Instagram rapping to her verse in YG's single "Big Bank," captioning it with "Told'em I met Slim Shady. Bagged a EM!!!" The song also features Big Sean and 2 Chainz.

When a fan asked if she was dating Eminem, Nicki had a simple answer: yes.

The internet, understandably, freaked out. Fans started looking for proof of their relationship, tracing lyrics all the way back to Eminem's 2011 "Fast Lane."

"And I hope that I don't sound too heinous when I say this," he raps before he states what he wants to do with Nicki in the most explicit way possible.

Nicki didn't respond immediately, but called out Eminem in her verse on Ciara's 2013 "I'm Out." She raps, "Man, fuck you and your lady, gun butt you, cause you're Shady."

And fans pointed out Nicki's song in her 2018 song "Barbie Tingz" where she says she "just bagged a white guy."

But people suspected that Nicki was just messing with her fans when Eminem commented on her Instagram post with "girl you know it's true..."

And Nicki's reply seemed to support they were trolling everyone. "I thought were were gonna keep it on the low til the wedding," she joked. "Yikes, I'll talk to you when I get home."

A new report from TMZ also seemed to support the trolling. "Sources close to Minaj tell TMZ she was only joking," the publication wrote.

It didn't stop the memes about the new, even if possibly fake, couple.
