All right, so that's probably overstating the case a bit. But there is definitelysomething uncanny about how well the new Google Assistant ad syncs up with the Blade Runner 2049trailer – which, as a reminder, is the sequel to a movie about a dystopian future teeming with sentient A.I.

Mashableactually checked to see if Spencer Chen was telling the truth, and he is. That really is the uncut footage from the Google Assistant ad, and that really is the unedited audio straight from the most recent Blade Runner 2049trailer.
