There are Watch Nice Sisterlots of reasons people come out of retirement. Sometimes they realise that work gave their life meaning, or that they could do with the extra cash, and sometimes they want to fight a '90s martial arts star.
SEE ALSO: Here's a pretty compelling argument against Twitter's new character limitFormer heavyweight boxing champion and self-declared "King of the Grill" George Foreman has issued this challenge from his Twitter account to actor Steven Seagal.

Good of him to include a photo of Seagal, just so Seagal could be double sure that he did in fact mean Steven Seagal and not a different Steven Seagal.
Granted, a 68-year-old ex-boxer challenging a washed-up action star to a fight doesn't happen every day, nor does it seem like a particularly good use of anyone's time. The big question of course is... why? Just, why?
Seagal has been in the news recently after a bizarre interview with Good Morning Britainin which he criticised the #TakeAKnee movement, perhaps the strangest quote from it being, "I myself have risked my life countless times for the American flag and I don’t understand or agree with this kind of behavior. I think it’s an outrage."
Steven... you know the fighting in those films was fake... right?
Anyway in light of these comments perhaps Foreman's challenge makes a lick more sense. Foreman, an American athlete and Olympic gold medallist is challenging the narcissism of a movie star claiming superiority over the NFL players for peacefully protesting racial inequality and police violence.
Even though Seagal is yet to comment, that hasn't stopped the internet getting totally stoked for the sexagenarian show-down.

Some highlighted Seagal's advanced age as a potential problem, but Foreman was quick to point out that they were evenly matched in that respect.

So there's no need to run down to the the betting shop just yet, even if the fight does happen both combatants will need a little lie down first. Why not pop out and buy a new grill while you're waiting?
