Google Play Games,Arouse (2025) a PC app that lets you play Android games on a Windows PC, has finally launched – but there's a catch.
The app is only available as a beta, and only in three countries: Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan. If you visit the Google Play Games site from any other country, you'll get a "beta isn’t available in your region yet" message.
Furthermore, the catalog of games currently on offer is a bit thin. Some of the available games include Asphalt 9: Legends, Last Shelter: Survival, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Rise of Empires: Ice and Fire, and Summoners War.
As for the benefits of playing your favorite Android game on a PC, they include being able to play with a keyboard and mouse, and see the game on a bigger display. The games will sync across devices, and your Google Play Points will stay synced, too.
Google Play Games was originally scheduled to launch in 2022; Google plans to expand Google Play Games to more countries "soon."
If you're a Mac user, there's nothing to report: Google currently only says that Google Play Games is "not yet available" for the Mac.
