On Thursday the design company teamed up with Glamour Dolls Makeup to launch a Kickstarter campaign to create a cruelty-free line inspired by the rainbow-splashed Frank products of your childhood.
Lisa Frank announced the campaign in a post to its official Facebook page.

An angled brush featuring Frank's rainbow unicorns is already available for pre-sale on Glamour Dolls Makeup's website. It retails for $4.99.
Founder Jessica Romano says the concept of a Lisa Frank collaboration felt like a natural fit for her brand, which features bright tubes of glitter liner and lip balms packaged in doughnut-shaped cases.
"I want to be in the ladies room and have someone ask what lipstick I’m wearing because the packaging caught their eye," she wrote via email.
As for how the makeup company convinced famously private Frank to collaborate, Romano says the process was simply a matter of reaching out. After setting up a call between her business partners and Frank's team, Romano sent Frank some of her company's makeup.
From there, Frank agreed to hear Romano's vision for the line, and shortly after signed off on an official collaboration. The designer also tapped YouTube makeup artist Kandee Johnson to create a video for the Kickstarter's launch.
Glamour Dolls Makeup is asking for $30,000 to launch the line. At press time, the campaign had raised just over $2,500.
