Well, that's long gone. Nov. 1 is now the start of the holiday season and that includes Christmas music.
Carey's Christmas album "Merry Christmas" has slipped its way into constant rotation, even though the song is well over two decades old now.
As noted by Redditor DD3566, we can track the rise in people listening to "All I Want For Christmas is You" with the analytics tab on the song's official YouTube video. Just look at that spike.
