Spider-Man: Far From Homemight have bataille eroticism introductionfirst hit theaters on July 2, but now it's coming backto theaters (even though it hasn't entirely left yet) on Aug. 29.
The reason for this unexpected turn of events? Extended cut, baby.
Following in the footsteps of Marvel's Avengers: Endgamere-release, Sony is giving us a longer version of Far From Home, according to Deadline. Not muchmore, mind you, but four minutes of a previously unseen action sequence makes things a bit more exciting.
The re-release will apparently only be available in IMAX and other large format theaters, so prepare to trek to your local megaplex if you want to see this one.
It's not clear why an extended cut release is happening for Far From Home, though Marvel's Endgamemove likely inspired it. The studio never came out and said it outright, but Endgame's second theatrical release earned it just enough at the box office to topple a record held by Avatarfor almost a decade.

That said, movies are created to make money and Sony is betting that four extra minutes of Spidey action will bring enough Marvel stans back to theaters to make the whole effort worthwhile.
