Claire Foy has issued a statement saying "no offence" was caused by Adam Sandler placing his hand on The Devil in Miss Jonas (Der Teufel in Miss Jonas)her leg during Friday's episode of The Graham Norton Show.

While telling an anecdote about his mother, Sandler twice placed his hand on Foy's knee.
The moment drummed up quite a bit of reaction on Twitter.
Some praised the way Foy dealt with the situation, while others criticised Sandler for making her uncomfortable.

"We don't believe anything was intended by Adam's gesture and it has caused no offence to Claire," a spokesperson for Foy told the Daily Mail in response to the situation.
