It's no longer just about the black car. Uber has been working on Japani Malish (2025) EP 4-6 Hindi Web Seriesa truck division called Uber Freight — no, not Uber flight, that'll come a bit later.
SEE ALSO: This list of stuff people have left in Ubers will make you cringeUber CEO Travis Kalanick showed off a new photo of one of the trucks on Sunday while he was in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Uber has an office and first launched its self-driving cars on the road in that city.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
This photo, while shared by Kalanick from Pittsburgh, was apparently taken earlier by Matthew Moore, a designer manager at Uber, in Dallas, Texas and posted on Facebook.
Details of the trucks are sparse. According to Kalanick's tweet, it's all "great stuff."
But this isn't the first time we've seen an Uber-powered truck. Uber designed and built a self-driving truck that completed a 120-mile trip between Fort Collins, Colorado and Colorado Springs, Colorado, all while carrying 2,000 cases of Budweiser.
It looked like a publicity stunt, with the car decorated with "Budweiser" and "Proud brewed. Self-driven." The side of the truck also read "Otto," which is the name of Uber's self-driving division, brought on through a company acquisition. The trucks have also been spotted in California.
Now, it seems that Uber's new trucks ready to roll. We can't tell whether they're self-driving or not.
Uber's self-driving initiative hasn't had the best year. The company is currently in the midst of a legal dispute with Waymo, Google's self-driving car division. Anthony Levandowski, the center of the scandal who started Otto and previously worked at Google, has stepped down from his role in Otto. He's still at Uber.
As The Verge noted, the scene looks somewhat staged. Why are there random barrels of hey by the tent? Perhaps they're filming a commercial or maybe they were just showing off to the CEO.
This post was updated to include additional information about where the photo was taken.
