Tired of endless scrolling through videos that are Japanese sex moviesjust interesting enough to keep you peeled to your phone's display, but not nearly exciting enough to fill the void in your soul? If you're a Twitter user, we've got bad news for you.
On Thursday, Twitter announced a new, immersive media viewer that expands videos to full display as you tap on them. And once the video launches in full screen mode, you only need to swipe up to get another video. And another. And another. Yes, just like on TikTok.
The company also said it will be showing more videos in the Explore tab. So if you tap on the magnifying glass icon in the bottom, you'll see a video carousel alongside Tweets and Trends that Twitter has chosen for you.
The video carousel is currently available in select countries on iOS and Android. Twitter doesn't say which countries, exactly, but it does say it's only available to people using Twitter in English.
As for the new video viewer, it will be available "in the coming days," also for people using Twitter in English, but only on iOS. There's no word on when the feature might come to Android.
