We already sort of knew,I cast Lvl. 3 Eroticism. You turn into a real beautiful woman. but now we really know: Samsung will launch its next flagship, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, in late August.
According to ePrice, Samsung Mobile chief DJ Koh recently confirmed as much at a meeting with journalists in Taiwan, saying the announcement will come at the end of next month.
SEE ALSO: Did Samsung just accidentally reveal the Note 8?Koh didn't share the exact date; previous reports indicated August 23 as the launch date, and August 30, the press day ahead of the IFA trade show in Berlin, is another date that makes sense. Samsung has confirmed to Mashablethat Note 8 will indeed launch in late August, but would not confirm the exact date.
Regardless of the exact date, the timing is important as it will likely predate Apple's iPhone announcement, which is expected in September.
The Galaxy Note 8 is an incredibly important device, as it comes after the Note 7, which was pulled from the market after numerous reports of devices overheating or even exploding. It also follows Samsung Galaxy S8, which -- while quite a handsome and powerful device -- came with an awkwardly placed fingerprint sensor, the same camera as its predecessor and one key feature missing, Samsung's smart voice assistant Bixby.
The Note 8 is expected to be have a 6.3-inch screen, which is significantly larger than the Galaxy S8's 5.8-inch screen. It's also rumored to have a dual rear camera, a Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and a 3,300mAh battery. The fingerprint sensor will likely remain in the same horrible spot on the back, though.
According to Koh, the Note 8 will go on sale in September/October, depending on the market. Apple's iPhone, on the other hand, is rumored to have all sorts of production troubles and could be delayed into October or even November.
