Pro tip: Don't ask Patriots head coach Bill Belichick about the "Butt Fumble."
It's been four years since the Butt Fumble,Watch Take Turns Tasting With College Alumni Online a Thanksgiving Day play that saw Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez run straight into the derrière of his teammate, hit the ground, drop the football and watch the opposing Patriots recover for a touchdown.
It's a moment that lives in infamy for NFL fans. And though the Butt Fumble benefited Belichik's Patriots, he's still not amused.
A reporter jokingly brought up the play in a press conference on Wednesday, asking Belichik if he'll watch film of the Butt Fumble to prepare for the Patriots-Jets game on Sunday.
Belichik responded in true Belichick fashion — salty, nondescript and unamused, all at once.
In case you can't hear it, Belichick says — after a long pause — "I don't think we'll get to that." And with a heavy dose of sarcasm, he adds "Great question, though. That's awesome."
If Belichick won't watch film, at least we can all still enjoy this legendary NFL moment.
Happy Thanksgiving, football fans.
