Raspberry Pi is Watch Easy Does It Onlinecelebrating five years since the launch of its original ultra-cheap DIY computer by announcing a new one, the Raspberry Pi Zero W. The Zero W incorporates wireless LAN and Bluetooth and is priced at $10 ( about £8), plus tax.

The Raspberry Pi Foundation is known for its credit card-size computers, popular among electronics hobbyists and educators. In the last five years, the Foundation has sold over twelve million Pis and built up a loyal fanbase.

The Raspberry Pi foundation launched the Raspberry Pi Zero in November 2015. At just $5, the Zero saw widespread adoption by DIY enthusiasts. All kinds of projects were built with it, from a Simpsons Shuffler to an electric skateboard.

However, several of the projects built around the Zero required internet access, but the board didn't have components for connecting, so users needed to add their own. The new Zero W makes this easier by incorporating connectivity into the card itself -- for just $5 more.

The Foundation also announced an official case set with three interchangeable lids for use with a camera or other attachments, which includes a camera adapter and a set of rubber feet to make sure the Zero or Zero W stay put.

The Raspberry Pi Zero W is available from distributors starting Tuesday.
