"Don't Take the Money" featuring Lorde is the first single from Jack Antonoff's second solo album.
SEE ALSO: Lorde is back with a euphoric breakup song, 'Green Light'Antonoff went in deep about the song's meaning on Instagram.
"[Don't take the money] is something i say in my head a lot. It's not about actual money. It's about following a light. A gut feeling. Not following a deep gut feeling destroys your art and the people around you," he writes. "So I say it in my head constantly. Sometimes about something very specific relating to music, sometimes about a bigger question about marriage or depression."
