Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 might have Brigitte Meyerburned up in a fiery ball of flames, but don't you worry because the Galaxy Note 8 will literally be great.
According to the folks at ol' reliable SamMobile, the codename for the Galaxy Note 8 is "Great." The model number is the usual mix of numbers and letters (SM-N950F), but the phone itself is being called "Great" internally.
Cue the lulz!

But really, all jokes aside, it's good to see Samsung being really ambitious with the Note 8, even if we don't know anything about it yet. Well, other than the fact it'll hopefully have batteries that don't explode.
Greatness is exactly what Samsung needs to strive for in the Note 8 if it ever wants to return the Note brand to its former glory.
Hell, I'd argue, the Note 8 has to be a quantum leap over the Note 7 in terms of design and features if it even wants to inspire confidence.
Great won't be great enough -- the Note 7 was already great before it blew up. Samsung needs to shoot for friggin' out-of-this-world-blow-your-mind-away-spectacular for the Note 8.
Anything less will be disappointing.
