Protesters swarmed the steps of the Capitol in Washington,de-eroticized D.C., on Thursday night to express anger over the deaths of two black men who were shot by police.

This came a day after a video was released of Alton Sterling, 37, getting pinned to the ground by two officers and shot.
In response, protests have been staged in cities across the country. They were especially passionate in Washington, D.C., where the protesters broke through the barriers surrounding the Capitol Building.

The protesters, many marching as part of #BlackLivesMatter, were eventually met on the Capitol steps by Democratic members of Congress.
