How hot is Jerome Deeds Archivesthe newest Instagram feature going to be? You'll have to ask your friends on the app to weigh in — and now, you can.
Instagram announced a new interactive story feature today called "Emoji Slider." It's a sticker that story posters can put on photos or videos, and allows their followers to answer questions using an emoji that slides along a scale.

The new feature is part of the Instagram version 44 update, downloadable in the App Store and Google Play.
Adding an emoji scale is just like adding a poll. First, select the scale icon from the sticker tray. Then write up your burning question and place it on your pic or video. Then — options, options, options — pick the emoji that you want to use on the slider tool. For example, how badly do your girlfriends want to go on a date tonight? Heart emoji it is!
Then, you'll be able to see responses to ascertain your friends' emoji desires.
If you see an emoji question in a friend's story, to answer, you drag the emoji left or right, and release when you're satisfied with your answer. Then, you'll be able to see the average response.
Instagram stories gained traction in part by copping a ton of Snapchat's ideas — which Instagram parent company Facebook continues to do to this day. But these interactive and easy-to-use features differentiate it with some originality, and ingenuity.
We predict that this feature is going to be hot amongst the youths, millennials, and Facebook-migrating moms alike. How hot? Well, we'll need an Insta emoji slider poll for that.
